Unlimited I.T. — Refund and Returns Policy

Last updated: 09/07/2026
1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, compensation, or another remedy depending on the circumstances. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Requesting a Return
Before returning any product, contact us at Service@unlimited-it.com.au to request a Return Authorisation (RA) number. We will provide the return address privately once your RA is approved — we do not publish a return address on our website.
- Returned products should be clearly marked with the RA number on the outside of the packaging.
- Products returned without an RA number may be delayed or rejected where permitted by law.
- Products must be packed safely and securely for return shipping.
- Where possible, please include original packaging, accessories, manuals, and proof of purchase.
3. Assessment of Returned Products
We may inspect and test returned products before providing a remedy, to determine whether the product is faulty, damaged, misused, incomplete, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise eligible for return. If a product is found not to be faulty or is not eligible for return, we may decline the return where permitted by law and may charge a reasonable assessment or labour fee where this has been disclosed and is lawful.
4. Change of Mind Returns
We are not required to accept returns where you have changed your mind, found the product cheaper elsewhere, decided you no longer need it, or ordered the wrong product, unless we have agreed otherwise or the Australian Consumer Law requires a remedy.
We may consider a change of mind return at our discretion if all of the following apply:
- the product is unopened, unused, and in original, resaleable condition;
- the product is not a special-order or back-order item;
- the quantity purchased is three units or fewer;
- the product value is less than $500;
- the product is returned within five business days of purchase;
- the product is not excluded for hygiene, health, safety, licensing, activation, or manufacturer restriction reasons (see Section 7).
All change of mind returns are subject to inspection and final approval. Where approved, we may provide a refund, store credit, or exchange at our discretion, based on the lower of the original purchase price and the current selling price, where permitted by law.
5. Faulty, Incorrectly Described, or Not as Ordered
If a product is faulty, incorrectly described, not fit for purpose, or does not match your order, contact us as soon as possible. If confirmed, we will provide a remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, which may include repair, replacement, refund, store credit, or another remedy.
If goods received are not what you ordered, please notify us within 24 hours where possible. Do not open sealed packaging or use the goods if the issue is obvious before opening, as this may affect assessment of the return where permitted by law.
6. Dead on Arrival (DOA)
We may offer a seven-day Dead on Arrival replacement process for eligible products found to be faulty within seven days of receipt or invoice date. Where a DOA claim is approved, and subject to stock availability, we may offer a replacement product, store credit, or a refund. Products claimed as DOA should be returned promptly after approval, if not returned within the requested timeframe, the claim may be assessed as a standard warranty claim instead.
7. Health, Hygiene and Safety Products
For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, we may not accept change of mind returns for opened or used products such as headsets, earpieces, headphones, and similar items. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if the product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.
8. Incorrect or Extra Goods Supplied
If we accidentally supply extra or incorrect goods, ownership of those goods remains with Unlimited I.T. unless otherwise agreed in writing. We will contact you to arrange recovery of the goods and will cover reasonable costs associated with correcting our error.
9. Refunds and Price Changes
We do not provide refunds or credits for price drops after an order has been processed, unless required by law. If an order has already been completed or shipped, the original order price will usually apply.
10. Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be made in writing as soon as possible. We will review requests based on order status, including whether goods have been picked, packed, shipped, specially ordered, or custom built and whether supplier cancellation fees apply.
- Custom-built systems: if cancelled after assembly has started, a reasonable cancellation or restocking fee may apply to cover labour, opened goods, and depreciation.
- Picked, packed or paid orders: a reasonable cancellation or restocking fee may be deducted from any refund. This fee does not apply where we cannot supply the goods due to our own error and no suitable alternative is accepted.
- Special orders and back orders: cancellation may attract a reasonable fee if the item has already been ordered from or confirmed by our supplier. If we cannot supply the item and you do not accept an alternative, we will refund the amount paid.
- Orders already shipped: you may be responsible for shipping, handling, return freight, and any applicable cancellation or restocking fees, where permitted by law.
11. Warranty
Many products include a manufacturer warranty in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. For full warranty terms, including return-to-base arrangements and timeframes, see our Terms and Conditions.
